MorningSide Mortuary
MorningSide Mortuary
I've modified the MajorMUD on my board called MorningSide Mortuary. Items are not limited, and items are NOT level restricted. Everyone gets SYS GOTO and SYS MAP. All the monsters give twenty times or more experience points than normal. You also get 300 Character Points at the very beginning, so you can make a very strong character right from the start. You are allowed to make as many characters as you want. Aldreth, who is located in the Darkwood Forest (Tree House), now trains up to level 85. The Gold Jeweled Ring is in the Newhaven General Store where it can be purchased for free. The Newhaven General Store also contains a lot of other free goodies. Frankenstein has been added as a new monster. He can be found at the beginning of the Main Road to the Darkwood Forest, and roaming on the bottom half from the entrance to Slum st. from Noble st. In the Halls Of The Dead. If you go East, there is a room called Dracula's Crypt that you may find interesting. In its original "stock" incarnation, MajorMUD was a rather brutal, tedious game that required excessive scripting. Some players brought up to me concerns they had about the inherent difficulties of the game. I took their suggestions to heart, and created a player friendly version of MajorMUD that is actually stress free and fun to play. The main objectives of MajorMUD are the Quests, and with the edits that I made to the game, you only have to do a minimum amount of scripting before you can actually embark on the various Quests. Dracula's Crypt
Below is a screenshot from MorningSide Mortuary (telnet: mortuary.ddns.net) showing a new room I created called Dracula's Crypt in MajorMUD. It can be accessed by going east from the Halls of The Dead.

MajorMUD Junkyard Now Has No Level Restrictions
The MajorMUD Junkyard on my board MorningSide Mortuary (mortuary.ddns.net), now has no level restrictions. Previously you had to be at least level 10 to enter and shop in the Junkyard. Well that restriction is now gone. BTW, all the Junkyard shops are fully stocked with a lot of cool items. It is the Wally-World of MajorMUD.

Shortcut To Aldreth
In Dracula's Crypt, there is a shortcut to Aldreth the trainer. Just go South. It sure beats the long walk it usually takes to get there from the Halls of the Dead. By-the-Way Aldreth trains to level 85. He is the only trainer you will ever need for levels 12 and higher. My edited version of MajorMUD is designed for those players who want to level up quickly, so that they can do the Quests.

Training To Level 11 Made Easy
I just made it easier for all new players to train up to Level 11. A common complaint that I have from players, especially those who have created Toons, is the tedious necessity to go through the various levels of the Crypt to reach their spirit trainer to train up to level 11. Well, there is no need to do that on my board. Take the shortcut from Dracula's Crypt to Aldreth, then go south to get to the Quest areas of the crypt. It is that easy: No muss and no fuss. Go North from Dracula's Crypt to reach Chancellor Annora, and North once more to get to Commander Markus. That sure beats the incredible long walk that it normally takes to reach him the usual way. Re: MorningSide Mortuary
Hey Man. I've merged your posts. Please keep your posts together with your BBS advertisement.
Aldreth's Attic (Small House)
I just opened up Aldreth's Attic (Small House). For many years it had been closed for whatever reasons. It is actually a fine and dandy spell shop with many cool spells for sale that previously could only be purchased in Jorah's Blue Tower. From Aldreth just go UP to reach it. It is worth the visit: Happy Shopping, and Happy Halloween!
Elysian Fields
I just created a new room called Elysian Fields. It is located just to the East of Dracula's Crypt. I leave a lot Templar Gold (formerly called Runic) here for anyone to pickup and use. By going North you will warp to the Aged Titan.

Change Your Alignment : Do It Yourself
"Players are able to 'pledge' an alignment after they have completed the 3rd alignment quest and before they have started the 5th alignment quest. This will convert their quest flags to the appropriate equivalent of the new alignment they have pledged." The process to do it is rather simple. First go to the Newhaven General Store and buy a Smoky Black Talisman. Then go to the beautiful Fountain in the center of the park in Silvermere. Next, go Up and follow the prompts to change your alignment. That is all there is to it. I think that this process is pretty cool. Silvermere is my kind of town because you can choose to be Good, Neutral, or Evil all on the same day! By-the-way, my board can be found at (telnet: mortuary.ddns.net) Trick-Or-Treat and a Happy Halloween!
Izakaya Japanese Restaurant In Silvermere
I just opened the Izakaya Japanese Restaurant in one of the five abandoned bank vaults in the Bank of Godfrey located in Silvermere. There are two ways to access the restaurant. One way is to enter the Bank of Godfrey and go West, and continue for five rooms. The restaurant is at the end of the row of abandoned bank vaults. The other way is to go to the Elysian Fields and go East for a direct link to the Izakaya Japanese Restaurant. Either way it is cool to visit the only Japanese restaurant in Silvermere. Here is the description of the restaurant that you will find when you get there. "It is unusual to find a nice restaurant like this in such an out of the way place. A variety of delicious foods are served including Teriyaki Beef, Chicken Katsu, and Ramen. Notice the thick tatami mats on the floor. It is the custom for people to take off their shoes when they enter the restaurant and put on the tabi slippers that are provided. Kitaro's "Silk Road" plays softly in the background. Go East to return to the Elysian Fields." Stop by when you can and enjoy the exquisite cuisine and ambience of the Izakaya Japanese Restaurant. Aloha!
