You cannot add a new magery. The only thing you can do is make a new set of spells tied to whichever existing magery you want, and then class-restrict all of the scrolls for the entire magery appropriately so that only certain classes can learn the spells.

Well if you can't add new magery... how about... modifying an existing one...

Say make Druids... Druid-2... and change all current druid-3 spells to druid-2... (since there is no druid-2 class like the others?)

then you can use druid-3 to create new magery associated with it that rangers/druids won't be able to get, and you can restrict it off to a certain class?

I don't really know if this is possible, just throwing it out there since I wondered why there was never a Druid-2 class... so it sits empty even though some spells are Druid-2.

They probably intended on, or at least wanted the possibility to create a druid-2 class down the line. Remember that a druid-1 can learn all of druid-2 and druid-3 (provided they can obtain the scrolls to do so). The magery level also effects things like mana regen (and spell power? or something else?), if i recall. So you can't simply move druid-1 to 2 without effecting the way the class functions.

Yeah not a perfect idea, but a chance to add on some way...

I always thought a Gypsy should be druid-2 since that seems more earthy I guess than a mage? They already have the Warlock as a mage-2 so why not bounce the gypsy over to the druid side and fill that empty slot... I think it would have made them much more playable with some healing abilities and such.

Can only imagine how lively things would still be if MajorMUD was designed around a fully editable system like other MUDs, and they simply sold content plug-ins for those who didn't want to spend the time editing it...
