Don't waste your time here. Cheating ass duper Sasuke plays here with his usual 6 chars in top 10. If he doesn't get an item, your stash will dissapear or your ganghouse items will magically poof. Wouldn't be surprised if he is the OP like he was a couple months ago and got caught. Also caught him emulating my screen and said it was for "maintenance reasons." It's a dud as usual.

My talk was set 'a slow', and i'm fairly certain I was asleep less than five hours ago (from the time I saw this).

Things I saw about the sysop:
♦ uses a 'u' in things like 'colour', (appears to be brit english)
♦ BBS was lightning fast so either he has a VPS to host (means good command of IP manipulation) or he's misrepresenting where he's from, which is shadey
♦ super defensive about the cheating accusations
♦ says lol

I was disappointed before but now I'm angry butthurt that I had to type all that out.

This brings to mind a bbs i played on years ago. The sysop had edited some rooms into the realm, and created a room in Silvermere, which was accessible from the top floor of one of the residential homes off of Crown Street. The problem with this was, there were no exits listed for this room, and it was only accessible via teleport, by typing "go piano" while standing in the upstairs bedroom. There was no description for the room saying a piano was there, so the average player would never find this secret room. Actually, it was two secret rooms, the first one being an empty room, and to the north was a lair room with instant rgen carrion crawlers. Doesn't sound like much, unless you understand that carrion crawlers were removed from all other locations in the realm, and were now worth 5000 exp each. The sysop would take his "playing" character there and power level him free of distractions. The only reason anyone found out about this is because someone was hiding in the room (they used it as a stashing spot before they were able to purchase a gang house), and they seen the character enter the room, then disappear. After many unsuccessful attempts to determine what was going on, they finally seen the player say "go paino", then disappear again. Didn't take a genius to understand they misspelled piano, so, they typed "go piano" and poof, secret room with loads of Exp!! The realm went offline shortly after. Not sure who the sysop was, it's been quite a few years ago, but I'm sure they are still around, still running a bbs somewhere! And still typing "go piano".

If you play on a board where the sysop also plays, you get what you deserve. It seems like this same comment could be put into all of the most recent several threads on bbs announcements.

This place is a disaster. When the board first started, I wanted to get the griffon shield and/or golden locket from the slums. While hurrying to get there, I saw Wally in the Halls of the Dead and was racing him to the slums, I looked at him and noticed he was fully geared, meaning he teleported to Silvermere to get to the Slums faster. On top of that, other players' stashes got robbed almost immediately after hiding the lims there. There were 2 golden eggs sitting at Aldreth at one point, which is a sign of editing (random items appearing where they shouldn't). My friends and I quit shortly after. Who ever runs this place takes cheating to a whole new low.

I'm more suspicious of a BBS that claims to have a non-playing Sysop, especially one that is never online.

There are of course exceptions, Skull for example is a non-playing Sysop who has a great reputation. But when some new BBS pops up boasting a non-playing Sysop, I wonder why you'd want to run a BBS you don't play on, or at least hang around to chat.
