Today Iogged my WG server on, not even 5sec later my Audit Trail is being fludded with Telnet Calls, so I went and disabled it.
I haven't given anyone my address yet to connect.
I go and log it back on and up to know there are over 60 Telenet call rejections and still coming - every second has 2 telnet attempts (120 calls a minute)
Did I mess up something in WG setup, this wasn't happening the first 4 days I had this setup.
If you want i'll post a picture of it to see what I mean
Someone trying to telnet in

Re: Someone trying to telnet in
Welcome to the internet. Someone found you had a telnet service and is flooding it. I have at least 2 a day that last for about an hr with it trying to login. Most script kiddies these days have no clue what a BBS is so when they see that prompt really have no clue what to do.
I emulate them now and then and mess with there script.

Re: Someone trying to telnet in
I had a feeling that's what it was, nothing else was happening.
Could them spamming the server like that keep Majormud from updating the database, before this started happening I was able to update just fine. Now I don't get the message saying mud was updated, only a huge trail login attempts.

I dont use an update file, but if I remember correctly after mud loads that update file it doesn't need it after that. Really iffy on that since i don't use it.
