Syntax...

What are you up to?...haven't been around for a while and I see all of these new questions you're asking. What did I miss in the last 12 months?

Been out of the scene for about 10 years. Just got pulled back in about a month ago so I've been working on some updates to NMR and MME.

I've been trying to build a monster damage calculator for MME which lead to the mass testing, questioning, and more testing. All I ended up with is an attack simulator though, which is cool, but still no way to quickly and accurately determine a monster's average damage / round. That is, not without running my simulator for 50,000-100,000 rounds. I've stared at my excel sheet playing with numbers in different ways for entirely too many hours. Finally gave up last night and I'm going with a "close enough" approach that will hopefully calculate fast enough. There are just so many variables involved in the attack sequence.

What brings you back around?

Oh...you know that itchy feeling

For a minute there I thought you might have got your hands on the source for MajorMUD or something...

I did get the source code to MegaMUD :) It's not really too usefull though as it's very old code. We are planning to build an API from the code to be able to update it's databases with custom content though. WIP...

You have your source code to mmview around? I'm curious what your monster sim looks like. Also wondering if you have a user attack calculator? e.g. take a character's stat sheet and tell how much damage you'd do with a weapon (I have the swing calc already).

edit: dodge calculation is another thing I'd be interested in.

Think you're confusing me with someone else; I didn't support mmview.

Oh you just happened to come back around the same time as someone else. I assumed this was his handle on here.
