I wont lie, I'm not sure why you not getting mobs respawns. Have you tried a sys reset in that room? And then have a cleanup? Offline recovery? Restocking the shop I'm not sure at. Also another thing to possibility look at is control room. Is the control room an actual room? Or is it at 0?

Like I said no clue just ideas I'm shooting out. I'm still under a yr at using nightmare. Back in my day we had to hex edit all our edits.

I've done all the things you are saying here last night, including making sure the area has a control room. I mimiced the sewers setup with a new area. I can walk around it, all the set NPC monsters work fine.

I did just run into an interesting crash. I dragged one of the rats out of its spawning room, and left the server without killing it. Logged back in and when I entered the room where the rat had moved to the server crashed with a " Access Violation. Attempt to read from 1d6e024 "

I'm going to run some diagnostics on the computer itself, I wonder if faulty memory could cause the issues. Of course this machine is older, its still an xp machine, replacing memory at this point might be difficult lol.

Laugh I have a stack of 1-4 meg 72 pin;) What I would try personally. Wipe the mud clean and put in a fresh default install and see what happens. Maybe something went bad. If a default install works then run that blank mod and see if it works after that.

Another idea is to move your mobs to a different mob group say group 5. I know some mob groups are hard coded to act a certain way.

I'm not sure there is a way to just delete the rooms from a fresh install. Hell you could just leave the old rooms, and disconnect all the default rooms from the rest of the map and connect to your own stuff. There is several maps that have only a couple hundred rooms in it. Work from those.

please note I said I tried a default load at hte start, and nothing loaded then either. this isn't an editing mistake issue, I am pretty sure my actual game edits are spot on, its the bbs setup I'm having troubles with.

its either a buffer issue, or something similar.

I'm still searching for the utility that restocks the vendors, not that I expect it to help, but its slightly important.

ANOTHER THING TO NOTE: The bbs never updates. IE nothing restocks, doors don't close, secret passages don't disappear, monsters don't spawn.

its basically as if the turn timer is not firing. that is the only issue. Once I can break this setup issue I'll be way on my way and start sharing some actual game edit info.
