I remember back when the Race/Class change option was given to players for a limited time, and i remember seeing certain settings that allow a player from pre-version U to have the option to do a race/class change.
What I'm trying to figure out is whether or not there would be a way to allow players this feature again. If its something as simple as a place I can edit or code, or if there is a way to make MajorMUD think that all of its current players are pre-version U, or whatever someone has another idea to do.
With the current project I am working on, it would be awesome to provide players with the ability to change race/class without having to go in and edit each one individually for a specific period of time.

I actually thought about adding this dynamic to the game. My thought was to simply modify the amount of exp retained during a reroll to 100%. This would allow a character to reroll to suit the party's needs and retain exp. Only problem is I can't find an option to increase EXP retained after a reroll. If you can figure out a simple hex or option that would allow a 100% exp retention after reroll, you would have the feature you were looking for.

Well, the problem is that im adding a couple new classes, i don't want to allow players to change race/class on a whim (though, i guess i dont really see the problem with that now that i think about it) but to allow them to try out a new race/class setup when i put out a new class like that...
now that youve thrown that particular monkey wrench into my thought process...LOL... i have to ask myself why does it really matter if people keep 100% of exp or even 95% exp at a reroll... I hate answering "well, cause that just the way its always been done" cause thats not good enough... thanks bro... anyone else have any ideas im welcome to it

Exactly. I went through the thought process myself and came up with the same. Is it a little unfair for someone to power a warrior to 60 and then reroll it to a mage? Maybe. But just remove the option until the game is more mature so that the dedicated 1-60 mage has the opportunity to play his class and get the rewards.
