Hi, I recently downloaded MegaMud and unable to register it. Tried purchasing it online to no avail. I read in another online forum that the company is now defunct (?) Any recommendations?

Metro is not defunct, they are just not interested in mud any longer. They are interested in money however so if you contact them via phone or email you will be able to buy a license.

Has anyone been able to register MegaMUD recently? I would like to get a registration code. I have emailed metropolis, but no response yet. Any help appreciated.

Megamud is now abandonware.

Everyone using Megamud nowadays is using a key generator to activate it.

While sharing of such software is usually considered copyright infringement, in practice copyright holders rarely enforce their abandonware copyrights and may allow the product to de facto lapse into the public domain to such an extent that enforcement becomes impractical.

any idea where people can find the mysterious keygen? tried the standard places but no seeding or files that weren't scam virus sites.

I don't have a copy of the keygen any longer but what I can tell you is that everyone on earth can all use the same registration code as long as the name matches, so anywhere you play just find one person willing to share whatever they put in and you're good to go. I would share mine, but as this forum is searchable by the crazy internet spiders I'd rather not put myself in that kind of position
