I was able to follow most of the setup instructions to the point where I have the board and mud working. I have mostly just played around on it on my local network, but a buddy of mine wants to join in... I am not sure how I go about setting it up to work for someone connecting from the outside world. Not looking for this to be a public board or anything, just something we can mess around on time to time. Any insight is appreciated!

You need to access your router and setup port forwarding to forward port 23 to the computer running mud. Then give them your external IP.

EDITED:
Sorry meant port 23, I spend too much time at a terminal.

port 23 you mean. 22 is SSH.

Sorry to bump such an old thread. But I've been trying to install worldgroup 3 for a couple of hours now. Everything runs fine until I get to step 10. For some reason wgsrunmt.EXE is missing from my folder. Any ideas on what to do from here?

Thanks in advance

That should be part of the install of WG. If it's missing might want to check the installer you have.

That’s what I was afraid of. Do you have a source to download a reliable copy?

Are the instructions in the original post for WG 3.3? Is that the best/easiest version to use?
