REALM WILL OPEN AT 8:00 PM EST FRIDAY NOVEMBER 22. The Board will go down to modify the menu tree at 7:55 PM EST. When it comes back up you will have access to Menu Item 'N', which will be the unedited realm. Please setup your accounts now.

Cleanup at 3:00am Eastern. Backups done simultaneously with redundant storage. Accounts cleared after 10 days of inactivity and deleted after 30.

Just bumping this up to the top as a reminder that the new realm opens tonight at 8PM EST. Approximately 4 hours from this posting.

Sorry for the downtime guys. I restarted my virtual machine about 20 minutes ago and it hasn't come back online. I've contacted my admin to go in to the console and figure out why it hasn't fired back up. Should be back up in a few minutes.

It will be about an hour before my admin can get to a machine and manually reboot. Sorry again.

This is the reason basic grammar is so important. The incorrect "their" being used is bad, but not knowing the difference between "were" and "where" is mind-boggling. Grammar Nazi is never popular, but reading this post makes me focus more on the glaring error than what is trying to be communicated. Also, this is a fucking text based game. Please don't type "brief" once you enter the game, and read the room descriptions. It might assist you later when you apply for assistant manager at your local McDonald's. Also, punctuation never hurts.

You're entitled to your opinion. Mine is that the guild house contained 90% of the realms limited items, of which most of them you cannot use. Not to mention that you have an identical statline to a member that quit, which is highly customized, and leads me to believe that you're one of the people that quit. It also means you've been running a second character for several weeks while others were restricted to 1.

The sysop knowing what peoples' statlines look like is a great indicator of a board not worth playing.

My board has been open for several years during which I have remained a non-playing sysop. I take notice of statlines because it's one way you can tell if folks are running duplicate accounts across multiple IP addresses. I frequently emulate players, especially those at the top, to ensure rules are being followed. You can learn a lot by emulating a player using Megamud (to capture conversations over a long period of time) and taking a look at the conversations transpiring.

It's Big Brother-ish, yes, but I've caught numerous players abusing bugs with these tactics.
