if I try to open nightmare when BBS is running it come up with btrieve "error opening *** file" file table full. If I try to open worldgroup when nightmare is open I get btrieve open error 86 on file ***. I have nightmare set to edit a set of dats not in the worldgroup folder. From what I have figured from google searches this error is because I have too many files open at once. This would make sense since it started happening after I added a third realm to the board. What I am wondering, is there a way to change the number of files I can have open?

if xp try putting files=150 in the config.sys file

Windows 7 and I found a work around. Just installed copy of everything on my laptop, do my edits there and then make an export to import to copy on my desktop. A little irritating but it works. Thanks
