using light balls

I am having no luck trying to get my Gypsy to use light ball in white dragons area. I cast illu. And just keep casting. No light. Any help would be great.

need more info....are you using the light ball after casting illu? If it's not lighting, use a message/response to 'use light ball^M' after you see the message that you've successfully casted Illumination.
