Send'em a message and get us an idea whats going on if you can, don't want for them to logon, they might have you invisible

I emailed every contact I could find... I even contacted gator customer support from phone to see if I could get a backup of the website that was hosted on them heh.

I realized it was a long shot, but the data was view-able to the public so I gave it a shot to try and save it heh... just noticed today mudcentral.com has been unavailable along with all the other websites they own... I've got a mirrored copy of that website at least...

I was talking to AA via PM on mmb about taking over the site and then the domain expired. Had his phone # etc in my inbox but never wrote it down and was never able to get in contact with him after. The Forumshq.com domain name went up for auction on godaddy after it expired, and just sold for $211. I was bidding on it trying to get the name but I couldnt go more than that. Hopefully someone in the community bought it and not some stupid chineese spam thing.

Does anyone know the IP address the server was on and the / name? Like 218.33.288/~forumshq or something like that? I can spare the cash to pay for the hosting, but we would have to use back channel like that to access the site.

Well that sucks... if the data can be obtained I'm sure several of us could host a mirrored copy that is read-only... I've basically started doing that with some websites expecting them to go down in the near future, just not sure I've started copying them early enough since I seem to have missed quite a few already gone...

Well, im not sure if there is any way to spoof a host name is there? If so, we could spoof forumshq.com over to hostgators name servers (i have the server numbers), and then bring the board back up that way to get a mirror off of it.

Or hell if we can even find out the url of the account on there, like hostgator.com/~forumshq.com/ whatever, ill be glad to pay hostgator for a month or two so we can access it that way.

I have contacted hostgator where it was hosted, they was able to give me the server IP, 174.132.114.66, but could not give me the account name of course. So would be like /~forumshq.com/ etc, which I tried that one, did not work lol

Ask them if they still have they still have the account in tact and if we can pay for a month of hosting for them just to re-activate the account for a month? Then we could crawl and grab the data off of it.
