Any new developments on this?
I have been actively seeking a functional version of Control for a long time now.
Either a fix for the key issues in 4.0 or a functional version of 5.62 (dll errors).

They are just visible items, as if they had been dropped by a player. They are identical to the sign that is sitting in town square. I parsed through the room files of map2 and there were just over 2 thousand rooms that had large signs, all in slot 6 of the visible items. What I ended up doing is go...

I don't know of any documentation that tells you how to set anything up other than the documentation that comes with the software.

Well fuck my shitty life. Apparently they are still all over the place. Just in places I didn't look. Apparently half of Dragon's Teeth Hills and pretty much the entire area from the road to markus is littered with large signs. I need a solution to reset all rooms to default. Yeah, that didn't fix the problem.
I ended up doing a fresh install in another directory, and going into NMR and exporting every map by hand and then re-importing them into the live DB.

Yeah, I have that set up.
But it just says there was a connection accepted at a certain IP.
There is no way to actually view who it is or deny a connection based on the number of lines a single IP is taking.

For whatever reason, there are large signs all over my MajorMUD game.
There are 35 of them in town square.
The western road is lined with them.
The only mod on the board is Lair and 2x exp.
Anyone ever seen this? Have a solution?

Since no one on the face of the earth knows how to make Control 4.0 work. And Dialsoft 5.62 just crashes with DLL errors, how are people limiting their BBSes to restrict dupes? Once the items are placed in their randomly selected range of rooms, do they stay there? Or does the spell continue to cast on those rooms as well? Just wondering if you know where that range is, if you just go there every time and your shit would be there. or if it would just keep moving around ins...
