Re: Dos and Don'ts od map editing
Just learning myself, but another thing I've been told is you can't skip numbers when making rooms, else cleanup won't hit them. That's why buffer rooms are sometimes used, to fill any gaps between sections so it's continuous.

Re: Fastest way to edit a board.
Laugh, that's the truth though, isn't it? Regardless, I've been around the edited scene for a decade and didn't want to make the classic mistake of boasting tons of changes and then no one hearing from me again. It's more just a pet project for me to work on, and see if the things I want to do are p...

Re: Fastest way to edit a board.
Thanks for your reply man, I'll definitely give a shot at running a VM instead of the old computer. Since the board will only be up when I'm editing anyway, that seems like a great plan. As far as a blank realm, I meant completely blank. There are so many rooms/items/spells that are useless, and rat...

Fastest way to edit a board.
So previously I'd installed WG and mmud onto an old p4 I had, but will admit was a bit lost when it came to editing. I was able to do some things, but got frustrated at how long it seemed to take to do iterations on the edits I wanted. Basically, I want a completely blank slate to start with. I used...

What files does NMR need?
Me again, with another quick question. I wasn't able to get multi-mud working on my machine, but really I only wanted it so I could have a stock realm that I could look at with NMR for how things worked. Alternatively, I figure I can just install NMR on my main machine if I know which files I need t...

Re: Abilities
Thanks Syntax, I had glanced at them in Nightmare but don't recall if it was something I could view a list of, or if I had to cycle them one at a time. My secondary computer has it's keyboard/mouse pilfered for my RaspberryPi currently, so haven't fired it up to check on it. Specifically, I'm lookin...

Abilities
So I was wondering if anyone had a list of the abilities, so I can know which ones I can mess with.
On a related note, I had a question about something I remembered: IIRC, you can set an ability to -1 and it will reset to 0 on cleanup. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks!
