I play them as Mages. don't need STR to play a mage, and the +10 dodge coupled with all their +dodge spells/gear make them dodge almost as much as ninjas/mystics in the long run, which certainly doesn't hurt.

As for ninja halflings, tried this myself, and I found that the added raw damage, gear ...

IIRC, you need to carry a log raft or wooden skiff to get picked up by the Galleon under any circumstances.

Outside of that, the easiest way to get picked up is to be level 49 or under, and carry a raft or skiff, then walk around on Crystal Lake (mod 9 area) while hoping you don't bump into too ...

Last time I messed around with the Apparatus was when I ran a private, stock board (v1.11p) and it worked the same as any other placed items like the alder chest in the Hidden Keep, the Night Hag's Cauldron, the Frozen Anvil/Giant in the Mod 2 area, etc.... they spawn every time the board was shut ...

A few off the top of my head:
1. The illuminate spell creates a "light ball" item that has to be readied similar to a torch. So if you use the spell, set up a response to "use light ball" after casting the spell, with maybe an extra carriage return added on the end of it so you look around the room ...

Considering the last version of the game that was released was 1.11p, you can't really go by something that was supposedly done in 1.11h. Things often got changed and not included in the notes-- especially towards the end.
