Broken Class/Races
On our board we have tried both MudRev and Silicon and have run into the same issue on both. When someone creates a character, say a Quickling/Samurai and then exits and logs off the board. When they return, they are in the "edit your stats" page and the character is now a Half-Ogre/Ranger...

Re: Dialsoft Control
Alright, so I finally got Dialsoft Control v5.62 registered and simultaneous IP control working. There aren't any issues with the keyrings like in the previous version. HOWEVER... now I've discovered another problem. Every new account that gets created ends up not have any defined screen columns / ...

WG and Megamud MUDREV
I am setting up a new board, and want to run MudRev. But, I have a couple questions. Dialsoft 5.62 - I have the .exe to install Dialsoft, but it is asking for a activation code. Do you have an idea on where I can find that? MudRev - I see on here there are the .rar files for "MudEvolved", ...

Re: Database Recovery In Cleanup
create the file WCCRECOV.FLG and mud will do a recovery when the bbs starts up. If mud on start up sees that file in wgserv it will run an offline recovery. Does the file get deleted after it starts up? Meaning do I put a line in the cleanup file to create this file every cleanup? Is there a simila...

Database Recovery In Cleanup
Ok I think I know the answer to this, but here it goes:
In Offline Utilities>WCCMMUTL there is a option for Database Recovery. Is it possible to have this run using the cleanup bat file? Seems there used to be a way of doing this, but I can't remember how.
Thanks!

Cleanup Script
1. In game there is the "sys reset" which resets the area at the next cleanup. Is it possible to do something similar to ALL areas at cleanup? 2. Is it possible to get the cleanup script to sweep ANY items off of the floor (excluding gang houses of course)? People are messy in the realm an...

Sysop Trainer
Just wondering, how do you get to the sysop trainer as a sysop?
Currently the sysop doesn't play and never will. I am just wondering more out of curiosity than anything on how one gets to the sysop trainer.
Thanks!

MegaMud on RPi
I tried searching for this, but found nothing. Maybe my searching fu is off, but.... Has anyone had any success running MegaMud from a raspberry pi? (no not the server the telnet client for the game) I'm guessing would need to be in something like wine or something unless there is a better way? Just...

Re: Cloud / Virtual Servers
The best way to host on anything past windows 2k or xp, is to install all the modules to a xp vm then install WG on the new OS and then copy the WGSERV folder from xp to the the newer OS. The reason you do it this way is cause a lot of modules won't install on new OS's. But you still need WG to ins...

Re: Cloud / Virtual Servers
I know this is a very old post, but I am curious.
t2.micro now only has Windows Server 2016 and Server 2012 as options. Has anyone gotten these to work for world group and major mud? If so, how? I’d love to setup a board if possible!
Thanks... again sorry for dredging this up.
