In case anyone else runs into this: the portal that goes to the Dao Lord disappears after awhile.
I didn't realize this and was resting before I entered. By the time I was ready to go to the Dao Lord, the portal had already disppeared.

I see the option in the Party section called Auto-share collected cash . I guess I just have to disable that. It does seem pretty wonky by giving coins back and forth between the party members.

However, is there no way to control how MegaMud communicates to party members? I've seen it use telepaths ...

Which one of these options? I don't really see any setting that changes how a party communicates with other MegaMud instances. Maybe in the *Talk* Tab?

I've noticed that one of my characters, when in a Party always does `. @share` into the room.
I swear that it use to telepath between the members in the party to @share. Is there a setting for this some place?

You're right. I got a VM from Microsoft and the install seems to work fine in there as far as I can tell.
Must be something weird about my Win 10 setup.

Thank you! I had to remove a few entries, but that got me going. I was able to open the different setup sections and change stuff.

I am still not able to open the menu editor (wgsrunmt.EXE) or start the bbs (wgsappgo.EXE), but I'll keep playing around.

If I make a blank wgserv.cfg file & start setup I get the following message:

An unrecoverable error has occurred:
wgserv.cfg IS MISSING THE `NLingo=` LINE

I could keep trying to add stuff it tells me I am missing, but I bet there is a better way.

Do you know what the "wg config setup tool" is ...
