Do higher level (65+) roomers destroy every other char?

Post by spawn »

We have a decent amount of level 65+ on the board (3x exp), and it seems combat types max out real early on, and after 65ish, casters completely dominate. Level 70ish mage making 20 mil (3x exp) when level 80-100 rangers/mystics making around 14-16. We also have the spell mod on the board

Seems the roomers completely dominate everything else, with the mana regen items and high health/mana in those levels, there's no comparison or competition.

Roomers become the most needed for boss runs, in the higher levels. A mage has one of the highest ac possible so no need to worry about needing a wall. Also druids can get really nice ac with all the leather they wear. And yes there room damage can output more damage as any combat 2, some combat 3.

Where warrior's and whitchies pretty much max out on damage around 60, and not much more for gear to pump them up. The high level game has always been an issue in mud. I think that's part of the reason WCC gave up working on it. Mod 9 was suppose to be for the high level players, but they made it require massive parties with lot's of roomers to kill the massive room regen. Try to play in the lake with a solo combat only character and you will have a bad time.

High levels need more stuff that 2 or 3 guys can take out, and not need a roomer to clear the room.

Upon looking into it further, it seems this happened after the spell mod was installed. It gave a pretty radical boost to damage spells (among other spells), including almost doubling room damage (prismatic blast from 600 to 1105, etc)

That would explain why they turn into gods at higher levels
