Reset

I'm going to reset the board after about an 18 month run. I'll let some time go by for people to vote in the PVP / Accounts polls and then will announce launch date. The announcement of launch date will be at least one week before launch.

Sounds awesome!

I'm mostly psyched how you've taken the time to fix the end-game gear textblocks. That was particularly frustrating before.

Silly question - do you know about the max spell damage, uhh... bug? Not sure it's a bug, but if you increase your characters +spdmg, it can result in the spell doing no damage at all. I wonder if it's similar to how too much charm will screw up shop pricing. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. It's been awhile. Just curious if that was something addressed or fixable?

I know the bug, but I think it is inside the hardcode of MUD itself rather than an issue with mudrev or ordinarily editable files. So eventually I think it gets to a point where people stop using mren (magical rending) if they are going to do room spells, because items/quest rewards/other spells already get them up to a safer 10-30%. I believe the issue is only triggered when room attacks are used.

I was able to work around the charm problem by making sure that all shop markups were sufficiently high. So I raised min/max charm across the board and now Charm-based casters can reach similar Spellcasting/Mana Regen to other classes.

It looks like the voting is about done, so I'm going to set the date at 12/2, 30 level pvp, 3 simultaneous connections per IP.
