FU GLobals Keygen... incompatible?

Having a difficult time getting the dsGLO FU Globals keygen to work on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2003, both 64-bit... any insights? I hopeI am missing an easy fix... can a key be provided from another machine?

If it's just a keygen, you can gen it from any system. The keygen is prob a 32 bit one so won't run on 64.

Only if it were a 16-bit app would it not be executable on a 64-bit OS.

I'm pretty sure that it is a 16 bit application... which won't work on 64 bit Windows. Easiest solution is to download DosBox, and run it under that. Works like a charm.

Realized this morning the folly of my vague question! Blame it on being late, tired, and a little frustrated. It absolutely was a 16-bit compatibility issue that I did figure out work-around for. I saw the DOS Box but didn't try t, will keep it in mind.

On a side note, as many have way more experience with op'ing a board, is there a significant benefit to running WG+MMUD on a 64-bit server? Assuming the board itself won't use but is there a performance consideration at the OS level that makes it worth it vs. the simplicity of just using a 32-bit platform?

Lastly - huge thanks to you Syn as well as the many others that have put the content on this site together. I have found it to be an amazing resource, especially once I decided to give hosting a board a shot!

Yes Syntax is the man, for dealing with our shit and keeping it hosted.

I run my board on windows 2k VM, on a pretty beefy server. It used to be on windows2008 server, but I need to change the "files" setting which 2k is the last one to have it. As far performance goes I run a nice size board with 3 muds, and avg of 70+ players online. And as far as lag goes once in a blue moon I ill get a 1 second pause, not sure where it comes from cause it's so rare. But all in all I didnt notice any decrease in performance from going down to 32bit.

Exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for, thanks Bear! Going to stick with Win32, at least until I have more time on the water to handle the little things on my own.

I just tried that and the key it gives me doesn't work, for both FU and Dialsoft

if you have a dvd or iso or cd of xp try doing a virtual box of xp then do all the wg and fu and mud on it then zip up that wg folder once all is set and working and transfer to windows 10

Alright, got a virtual 32 bit XP running. Installed WG and FU globals. Go to run the DSGLO and as soon as i enter 8 characters the DSGLO dialog box disappears. Not sure what is happening, its just crashing automatically.

Any other ideas? I'd really like to get FU globals up, might get my old hand play mud up again if i can get it working. =D

Trying to open it in different "compatibility modes" while in XP to the same effect.
