attack vs. bash vs. smash

Post by Corvette »

I know that with levels attack will get you more swings with a given weapon. Will bash and smash also increase in number of swings with level?

attack and bash will increase. bash is basically attack swings divided by two.
smash is always 1/round

Thanks, one more question - can you critically bash? Or is it offset by the higher damage individual hits?

No, bash and smash can't crit.

Thanks, so for my ninja - bash would be pointless. But my paladin it might be a good way to go.

For the most part. I've always went the direction of Bash wth a paladin and Darkbane. Once you're bashing 5's, you're doing a lot of damage. With a ninja I would head in the direction of nexus spear or smoething similar (2handed) and straight up attack once you're quick and deadly.

what is the equation for smash? I'm trying to figure out the same concept, and whether or not to focus primarily as a HoG Warrior and MAX STR(on greatermud stats are +40 so 190 str), or go a more balanced and begin to up agility and Bash? Any input would be great.
