Did we ever find a working download for Synterm? I haven't been able to find any working links online.

Filenames:
syn32t61.zip/exe (telnet version)
syn32m60.zip/exe (modem version)

Thanks.

It isn't, Synterm was a relatively basic scripting client. It had auto attack, auto collect money, random roaming between rooms, and that's about it. Essentially it was a "plain" telnet/dialup client with a couple of quality of life features that left playing the game to the player.

You are correct. It was a very basic program for scripting. I've used it quite a bit back in the day and I loved it. The only thing I really disliked was how it displayed ansi graphics. Here's a screenshot I took just moments ago.

I wish someone still had a copy of MMcompanion. I would like to get a copy of this if anyone still does. I was able to gather some intel, but that's all I'm able to get in the time being. It was created by Matt Schmidgall. His e-mail was Gunther@mc.net. The website was http://user.mc.net/~gunther/mmcomp/mmcomp.htm. I hope this helps anyone to remember something in hopes of finding it.

  • MegaMUD

"MegaMUD is the only good scripting program to date (for windows). Original site: http://www.megamud.net/
    MegaMUD_v1.03u.zip"

Ok. So I am just curious, and no one on any BBS so far has been able to answer this question.. Who exactly made the 1.03u modification because when I go the http://www.megamud.net website the last version they have is 1.03s.
With that question, comes another one: WHAT HAPPENED TO 1.03t?
Never saw the T until earlier I was able to find a 1.03t5 version.
Just curious and would like to know who made it and what the difference between it and 1.03s is.
    Thanks.

Is there a way to set mega to only attack if there are a minimum amount of monsters in a room? ie in Settings, Combat, Options there is "Max monsters"

(looping/rooming an edited area with 8+ monsters per room and when there is only one or two left its a total waste of a round vs moving to the next room)

If someone could hex this I would be willing to "donate" to them on behalf of the community.

Thanks!

Ethan's Synterm for Windows 95 (Telnet)
syn32m60.zip

Ethan's Synterm for Windows 95 (Modem)

The Windows 3.1 version to my understanding was never finished and only released to a select few.
