Thief / Missy / Gypsy - amped up in a stock realm?
I was lying here thinking about the Thief class, and by proxy the Missy and Gypsy as well, and wondered whether edits to amp up their combat level and backstab bonuses might still leave the feel of a stock realm relatively intact? The leather armor and 1-h weapon limitation is going to always restra...

Re: Cloud / Virtual Servers
Looks like you can get the first year of t2.micro for free which is a sweet way to test this out! From there, easy enough to "upgrade" if needed I would assume.

Re: Cloud / Virtual Servers
Thanks, guys... it seemed more a matter of convenenience, but I suppose tossing up a little box in the corner with today's high-speed pipes is more than sufficient. Really appreciate the responses and the setup thread especially!

Cloud / Virtual Servers
Can anybody provide any best practices on using a cloud-based/virtual server to host a board? Suggested hosts, setup tips, etc...
I am starting to play with the idea of hosting one but would prefer to have it based outside of the home for both security and stability reasons.
Thanks!

Re: Effects of Raising Stats
Wow... thank you for the legwork on this! Clarifying my above post, it would seem based on #1 and #5 there is no cumulative gain or loss per level based on raising a stat early, only the overall bonus from the stat itself. In summary, I am not sacrificing HP, Martial Arts, MR, crits, accuracy, etc.....

Re: Effects of Raising Stats
Love this post... to add another dimension, is there a substantial impact to consider in the cumulatively effect over levels by raising different stats early? For example, will someone who taps health to 90 at level one see a greater HP gain per level/overall than someone who raises it later or over...

Re: MegaMUD Setup
Update: I got it! All it takes is adding -i "C:\..." with the rest of the path to the desired character .ini after the megamud.exe shortcut. Each path should be enclosed by its own quotations.

Re: MegaMUD Setup
Years ago when I last played, there was a method for adding/referencing a specific character .ini file in the MegaMUD shortcut that would essential load the program with the character open. I found this post while searching for it (and I ended up installing the path updates so thank you!) and though...
