Re: Mud HQ Forums

Yeah they said we could pay for a month, would have to call and have them do that though. Do you know the account name it was under? like the /~accountname Why does that matter? If they know the account is in tact can't they just reactivate it and tell us the IP to use? We can add a local dns entry...

Re: Mud HQ Forums

I have contacted hostgator where it was hosted, they was able to give me the server IP, 174.132.114.66, but could not give me the account name of course. So would be like /~forumshq.com/ etc, which I tried that one, did not work lol

Re: Mud HQ Forums

Well, im not sure if there is any way to spoof a host name is there? If so, we could spoof forumshq.com over to hostgators name servers (i have the server numbers), and then bring the board back up that way to get a mirror off of it.

Re: Mud HQ Forums

Does anyone know the IP address the server was on and the / name? Like 218.33.288/~forumshq or something like that? I can spare the cash to pay for the hosting, but we would have to use back channel like that to access the site.

Re: Mud HQ Forums

I was talking to AA via PM on mmb about taking over the site and then the domain expired. Had his phone # etc in my inbox but never wrote it down and was never able to get in contact with him after. The Forumshq.com domain name went up for auction on godaddy after it expired, and just sold for $211....
