MiOw, I saw the same traffic when I got WG up on pot 23 using AWS. FWIW, we opted to change to a different port and those 1-3 pings went away. Thanks for the info. Appears to be par for the course when playing on the web. For now I'll run with the default port and watch it for any escalation. Like ...

No sure about the rlogin stuff but the first one is the one that changes the incoming telnet port. But in truth I'm running on default port only get 2 lines maybe used up by bots. And if I remember right you are going to do AWS? With AWS those kinda attacks would be blocked. Laying down my thoughts...

I've never heard of a 2gb minimum for Windows 2003. Recommended system specs for Windows 2003 are 550mhz CPU and 256mb of RAM. And that seems about right- anyway, my server is running just fine. The EC2 instance is currently running 5x Megamud clients and WG on two different logged in Windows users....

I recently set up a board using an AWS. The oldest OS that AWS ECS2 supports is Windows Server 2003-- they will provide the OS image. From there, you can install WG and MMUD as normal on Windows 2003. I have had zero problems with the OS-- figuring out decades old software again was the hard part! R...
