The way I deal with this is give items that give temp spells, that way they don't have them in their permanent spell book and can have more depending on the item equip'd

One reason for the map numbers is separating mods, certain maps are locked out unless you pay for that mod. Another reason is separate the areas, mobs can't cross map numbers. My method for using maps, is I use whatever map the area I'm connecting too. But then again I'm lazy. You can use nightmare ...

Yeah I do love the layout, but the web browser is what kills it for me. I don't leave my web browser open, but in games like this I love to leave open for the chat.

Do what most games do without a restart, use midnight as the trigger for the "cleanup" period, it's a start of a new day and all. In my mud like game I added a day and night, each day cycle was 12 hours, and the dawn is when I ran my "cleanup", the start of a new day. So I ended up with 2 "cleanups"...

Only thing I remembered, was them being yellow when I first started. Now my memory might be wrong. But I did start before mod1. There was a mud server out there that had almost every version of mud out there, but I can''t remember who had it and where. Hell might not exist anymore.
